Religion vs. Science Debate time!

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 2, 2011, 5:34 PM
:icontransparentplz:

I was watching a documentary earlier about the Angels and Demons book talking about the conspiracy made by a group scientists which was made by Galileo.
Every documentary I watch involving religion and trying to prove "is it wrong?" or "is it right?" seems to always refer back to the Big Bang, in a way.
After I was finished watching it, I was spewing out my opinions about the debate on science vs. religion and pacing all around the house.
It was so bad that my parents told me to sit down.
But, I was really really wanting to know if I were the only one that thought this:
Maybe science was created by god?
I'm the kind of person that KNOWS there's a higher power, but I don't really belong to an exact religion.
But, this is mostly aimed at Christianity because this is the religion I know the most about.

Like I said before, there are a LOT of religious documentaries that usually go aaall the way back to the Big Bang.
I've noticed that all these years that we've had the technology that can see down to an atom, but we've never been able to explain what CAUSED the Big Bang.
My point of view is God's like,"Hm I want to make a universe! So, I'm gonna put all these particles together, put a few atoms together and BAM!"
We've got the Big Bang.
Then, he decides that in this universe, he wants some planets and stars.
So, he puts some gas together and bam!
He's got stars and planets.
But, on some of these planets he wants some creatures and bacteria.
So, he makes them.
And so on so forth!
I don't think I should put this here or not because I don't really know what my watchers' beliefs are, but what IF God decided he wanted evolution?
And.
Yeah.

I have NO idea if this idea is actually really common or not, but people I've heard talk about their religion never say if God made science or not.
And so this popped into my head.

Why can't science and religion go hand in hand?!
WHY?

Ahh gaah. I agree with your POV. It makes sense! >BD And plus, if anyone disagreed, what would they say to back up their opinion?

Well, I can see a lot of different religious, or not so religious, point of views.
Which is why it's so hard for me to belong to a specific religion. >0<;;

Probably because you believe in different things some religions don't believe but you believe some part of that religion.

Hahaha. xD Agreed! Liek they have so many similar things, but they end up having to be separate because of one little tiny thing they don't share.. If you get what I mean. Ahaa. ;D
Like.. Christians and Catholics. I don't see much difference there.. eAe

Yeah.
Well, Christians base their morals (?) on the Bible, while Catholics want you to listen to the Pope too.
Catholics also pray to Mary.

Ohhh... I mean, can't they just be one and chose to want to support Mary or not?
